STARS TEAM UP FOR A CELEBRITY BASKETBALL GAME EVENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION KUSEWERA, ON SUNDAY, NOV. 12th AT NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL IN SHERMAN OAKS

Kusewera, a non-profit organization that aims to empower and educate children through active and creative play, is hosting it’s first celebrity basketball game. The family-friendly event is hosted by Grey’s Anatomy’s Jason George and sponsored by Sports + Lifestyle Unlimited (SLU) and presented by KIIS FM. Attendees can expect fun pre-game festivities with food, games and raffle prizes before watching their favorite celebrities entertain, play basketball and give back to kids around the world.

100% of the ticket sales and event proceeds go to Kusewera, to help build the community center in Malawi, Africa and a sports field and court, a preschool and maintain the community garden and food program for the children. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will also go toward DayGlowRelief.org, assisting with relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Kusewera’s mission is to empower and educate children in impoverished countries through active and creative PLAY. They organize activities such as sports, dance, music, art and more. They are not a “voluntourism” organization but they do create affordable humanitarian service trips for people of all walks of life, so that they can personally help implement our Kusewera Empowerment & Educational Program (K.E.E.P.) with their areas of expertise and passions. This sustainable year-round program empowers the children to learn, laugh, play. Kusewera’s hope is for the children to pursue goals, dream for a better future and be positive leaders in their community.#Jasongeorge#Kusewera#Malawiafrica
